A Cat's Critique: Finding Art in the Everyday

When Your Toughest Art Critic Has Whiskers

You know you're in for an interesting critique when your studio visitor has four legs and whiskers. Yesterday, my feline friend gave me the most devastating review I've ever received - apparently, my landscape collection is severely lacking in "meow-tains." I can't argue with that logic, can I?

A Cozy Corner for Creative Works

Off my main studio, there's this tiny room - nothing fancy, just an 8x8 space where I showcase my smaller pieces. It's like having a pocket-sized gallery right at home. Sometimes I think it's my way of proving that good things come in small packages, or maybe I'm just trying to make the most of every square inch I've got.

Urban Artist, Rural Heart

I'm technically in the city, but I've got thistudio where farmland is just a stone's throw away. And the beach? That's practically my backyard. Talk about having the best of both worlds! These fields I pass by every day end up in my paintings, filtered through memory and imagination right here in my studio.

The Weekl yEscape

Once or twice a week, I pack up my gear and head out for some plein air painting. It's my version of a mini-vacation - just me, my paints, and whatever nature decides to show me that day. These little pilgrimages into quieter spaces keep me sane, honestly. There's something about sitting alone with your canvas that just sets everything right.
