Most people are too glued to their phones to notice, but it’s there, and that’s what sparked “Clouds Creak the Sky.” The textures in this piece mirror that raw, moody feeling. It is the kind you can’t capture with polite little palette knife strokes. But that chaos, that wild energy, is exactly what it feels like to stand beneath a restless sky. And every day I paint outside I whisper a quick and quiet “thanks” to the clouds for showing up.
